ANNOUNCEMENT: RESCHEDULED PUBLIC MEETING BKT 2/FUNDED PRIORITIES LIST (FPL) 4 PROGRAMS

The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (RESTORE Council) is holding two public meetings in Texas to receive comments on the 2026 FPL 4.

Two public meetings will be held to receive comments on the 2026 FPL. The meetings will be held on Monday, December 1st from 6 to 8:00 pm in the Training Room at the Cameron County Parks Administration Building, located at 33248 State Park Road 100 in South Padre Island (adjacent to Sea Ranch Restaurant) and on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Bayside Regional Park Community Center, located at 4833 10th St, Bacliff, TX 77518 in Galveston County.

The three proposed Texas program areas were developed in consultation with the Bucket 2 planning workgroups. The three Texas proposed program areas are (1) Managing Wetlands Migration Corridors and Natural Floodways Program, (2) Oyster Reef Restoration Program, and (3) Protecting and Restoring Waterbird Rookery Habitat Program that will be considered for grant funding through the Bucket 2 Council-Selected Restoration Component of the RESTORE Act.
