RESTORE The Texas Coast

On July 30, 2020, the RESTORE Council Chair approved the Texas SEP Amendment # 1 (2020). The amended SEP, in the amount of $31.3 million, includes the following changes to the SEP approved by the RESTORE Council in 2019:

reduces to $0 the amount requested for the Removal of Debris and/or Associated Sediment from Creeks Bayous & Other Water Ways program (Appendix B);
reduces to $0 the amount requested for the Water Quality and Quantity program (Appendix C); and
increases the amount requested for the Shoreline and Beach Restoration program (Appendix D) by $15,660,000 for a total of $23,490,000.

Note that no changes were made to the amount requested for the Tourism program (Appendix A).

Like the 2019 approved SEP, programs funded in amendment #1 will focus on recovery efforts associated with damage from Hurricane Harvey.
